ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Dear brothers and sisters,

Most of you will have realised the extensive work being carried out at Middlesbrough Central Masjid to improve the existing facilities and to add additional services too.

We are reaching a stage now where funds will play an important part in the continuation of ongoing work and future projects; and this is where you, the beloved community of Middlesbrough, can join in to assist.

Alhamdulillah, an anonymous brother donated £13,000 towards the building of the new toilet and wudu facility. We also received £10,000 and £5,000 from another two anonymous brothers more recently for masjid renovations. Wallahi - from the bottom of my heart I pray that Allah grants them and their families the best of His rewards.

Hence, it is through the Infinite Mercy of Allah that we are given the varying ways and means to assist in building, renovating, and maintaining His House... We would encourage you to consider helping financially for the sake of Allah's House... and to please Him alone.

We read and hear people commonly quoting numerous verses of the Quran and Hadith - however, the following hadith struck me, personally, on deep contemplation, and I'd like to share it with you;

Uthmaan (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger (salallāhu alaihi wasallam) said;

*"Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, even if it is like the nest of a sand-grouse (or a small bird), Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."*

Sunan Ibn Majah (Hadith No. 738)

If that is the reward of assisting in building a masjid; an area of a small nest, then it becomes unimaginable when the whole masjid is built, renovated or maintained...

I'll leave you to contemplate on this hadith and would encourage you to provide as much financial assistance as you are able to... May Allah reward you and grant you the best of houses in Jannah al firdous al a'la.
